Simone Battle of Girl Band 'GRL' Dies Aged 25

Member of girl group 'GRL', Simone Battle has passed away at the age of 25.

Battle's father, Anthony E Battle, has confirmed the sad news saying "She will be greatly missed and loved.  She was an exuberant person and a very loved person."

The bands manager Robin Antin, Kemosabe Records and RCA Records have also released a joint statement:

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L," the statement reads.

"Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time."

She was found at her Los Angeles home at around 8am on Friday morning by her father.  Her death is still under investigation. 

Simone and the group had already enjoyed success with current hit 'Ugly Heart' and had a Number 1 when they featured on Pitbull's track 'Wild Wild Love'.
