Manchester Benefit Gig Confirmed For Sunday!

Tribute RESIZE

The benefit gig for the victims of the Manchester attack has been announced and some of the world's biggest stars are performing!

The concert will be at Manchester's Old Trafford cricket ground on Sunday with all money raised going to the We Love Manchester emergency fund.

Ariana Grande will be making her first return to the city since last Monday's attack, as she is believed to be wanting to come back "sooner rather than later", other names appearing on the day will be Justin Bieber, Take That, Niall Horan, Usher, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry, with other names rumoured to be announced at a later date.

Ariana confirmed the news on her Twitter page with the Ticketmaster link confirming that those her attended the concert at the Manchester Arena last Monday will get priority tickets.

Greater Manchester Chief Constable Ian Hopkins has confirmed that the families of the victims were spoken to about Ariana returning to the city with the majority in favour,

“When the idea of the concert came up, the first reaction was we need to speak to the families of the victims and see what they feel.

"It is fair to say that the majority of them are very much in favour, [although] there are some that clearly aren’t and that is absolutely understandable."

Tickets for the concert go on sale on Thursday morning.
