Awks, it turns out Adele wasn't actually asked to perform at the Superbowl!

The Superbowl is only 5 months away, but we're not excited about some football match... all we care about is the half time show!

Recent years has seen the likes of Coldplay, Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake but on EPIC performances in the most talked about event of the year!

Normally it's the biggest name of the year who will be approached to do the show, so naturally that would be Adele... right?!

Well, it seemed so when Adele came out this week to announce that she would actually not be doing the Half Time show when she said "First of all, I'm not doing the Super Bowl,

"I mean, that show is not about music. I can't dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no."

Fair dos.

But, now Pepsi (who sponsor the show) have revealed that despite being fans of Adele... they've not actually offered it do her!

In a joint statement with the NFL, they said "The NFL and Pepsi are big fans of Adele. We have had conversations with several artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, we have not at this point extended a formal offer to Adele or anyone else. We are focused on putting together a fantastic show for Houston and we look forward to revealing that in good time."
