Saturday Night Takeaway stars quit

The cheeky pair, who have had the joy of interviewing top celebs on the show, have left the roles

Little Ant and Dec "have quit" Saturday Night Takeaway.on the hit ITV show since 2003.

James Pallister and Dylan McKenna-Redshaw held the role for 10 years until 2013 when they were replaced by Neil Overend and Haydn Reid.

But now the cheeky pair, who have the joy of interviewing top celebs on the show, have left the roles.

A source at ITV revealed the duo have "outgrown their role" and are now going to focus on their studies.

Neil is moving on to high school and Haydn is preparing for his SATS and so the decision was taken for them to leave the show.

The pair also felt they had left the show on a high after filming the live finale at Walt Disney World last year.

While the original duo were replaced, producers have decided not to cast new Little Ant and Dec for the upcoming series.

However, an insider said this decision could change.

Meanwhile, it was announced this week that Scarlett Moffatt will return for the new series.

Speaking to OK! magazine about the show, the former Gogglebox star said: "Kylie Minogue is performing on the first show. It’s going to be fun!

"It’s like a big family at ITV, with Ant and Dec and Stephen Mulhern, hair and make-up – everyone. Every week I learn something new.

"Anything can happen on live TV so you just take it as it comes. It’s like university for TV!"
