Two people have been taken to hospital, following a crash in Stoke-on-Trent.
Emergency services were called to a report of a collision involving two cars on A34 Newcastle Road in Trent Vale around 9:15am this morning.
Working with paramedics, firefighters from Newcastle and Hanley cut the roof off one of the cars to release the female driver.
She was treated at the scene for injuries not believed to be serious and was taken to Royal Stoke Hospital for further treatment.
The male driver of the other vehicle was treated for minor injuries, and was also taken to Royal Stoke Hospital.
