Woman attacked while out with her daughter in Newcastle

A woman has been assaulted while out with her daughter in Newcastle.

Police say she was punched in the head and had her hair pulled following a verbal altercation with an unknown woman as she was leaving the Co-op store in Bradwell Lane around 6.45pm on Tuesday 7 March.

She also sustained a cut to a finger and bruising to a cheek, but did not require medical treatment.

The offender is described as having long, dark-coloured hair and had a dark-coloured dog with her.
