Woman attacked at Stoke cash machine

Police are hunting a man who attacked a woman as she was withdrawing money from a cash machine in Stoke.

It happened at the Sainsbury’s on Fleming Road at around 3.55pm on Tuesday 11 April.

The victim was approached behind by the man.

Police say they grappled on the floor for a few seconds before the man managed to grab the money and run off down Fleming Road in the direction of Swann House.

The offender is described as a white man, aged between 18-25, clean shaven, around 5ft9”-5ft10” tall, slim build, with short light brown hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a grey Adidas hooded jacket and a red t-shirt.

Officers are asking anyone who witnessed this robbery or who has any information should contact them on 101 quoting incident number 488 of 11 April, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
