Woman in her thirties arrested by Staffordshire Police on suspicion of drink driving, after a two car crash on the A500.
The southbound carriageway at Longport was shut for four hours while emergency services dealt with the incident, but no injuries have been reported.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the southbound A500 at Longport, which had left a car on its roof.
“Initial reports suggested a woman was still inside and unconscious, with smoke coming up from beneath the vehicle – a Toyota Corolla. Our colleagues at the fire service were requested to attend.
“Further reports said the woman, aged 32, was awake and talking. She has now been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
“One party at the scene was taken to hospital as a precaution, but no injuries are believed to have occurred."
