Vigil for four children who died in a house fire a year ago

A vigil is taking place this evening to remember four children who died in a house fire in Stafford.

It is a year today since a blaze broke out at a property in Sycamore Lane on the Highfields estate.

Riley John Holt, aged 8, Keegan Jonathan Unitt, aged 6, Tilly Rose Unitt, aged 4, and Olly Unitt aged 3, sadly died.

People are being urged to gather at the Oxleathers public house at 6.30pm this evening.

They will then take a slow walk up to arrive at the house site for 7pm any gifts, teddys, candles and flowers can be left on house site.

Prayers will be said and there will be a minute's silence.

A 25-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence following the fire were released under investigation while enquiries continue.
