Two teenage boys from Crewe have been charged following a serious assault in the town.
A 54-year-old man sustained what police have described as a 'puncture wound' as a result of the attached in Somerville Street around 3.45pm on Friday afternoon (31 January).
He was taken to hospital in an ambulance, where he remains in a stable condition.
The two teenage boys were arrested in Somerville Street shortly after the incident.
One of them, a 16-year-old, has subsequently been charged with wounding with intent and possessing a bladed article in a public place.
The other, a 14-year-old, has been charged with assault by beating.
At Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 1 February, the 16-year-old was remanded in custody.
The 14-year-old has been released on unconditional bail.
They are both set to appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (6 February).
