Two people were given oxygen therapy following a fire in an outbuilding in south Cheshire.

Firefighters were called to a property on Hunsterson Road in Hatherton.

The fire involved 10 hay bales and was extinguished using two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus.

Once the fire was out crews used two breathing apparatus and a stack drag to turn over the hay while a hose reel jet was used to damp down the area.

Two casualties were given oxygen therapy and assessed by paramedics as a precaution.

Crews remained on the scene damping down and co-ordinating the removal of the hay bales with the farmer.

They left the scene after three hours.
