Two men have been charged with burglary after the theft of cash and other items from the home of a 102 year-old woman in Newcastle.
A 50 year-old from Stoke-on-Trent has been charged with two counts of burglary dwelling and theft and fraud by false representation. The second burglary charge relates to an unrelated incident on Roe Lane between 4 - 7 April 2019.
A 33 year-year old male of no fixed address, has been charged with burglary dwelling and theft, and possessing a knife blade in a public place, and using threatening words/behaviour to cause distress.
They are both due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre in Newcastle-under-Lyme today (2 May).
Two other men, aged 43 and 45, both from Stoke-on-Trent, have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
