Five teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of robbery following an incident in Talke.
Police were called to reports a takeaway delivery man had been attacked by several people on Hollins Gran around 12.40am on Sunday (24 November), who attempted to steal his car keys.
The victim, who was delivering a takeaway to an address nearby, was assaulted by five teenagers wearing hoods, scarves and balaclavas.
Officers say he attempted to make his way back to his vehicle but was struck to the face with a weapon leaving him with facial wounds and other injuries.
A 14-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent, a 15-year-old from Talke and three 16-year-olds from Talke, Tamworth and Newcastle were arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
