Stoke-on-Trent welcoming royal visitors

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are visiting Stoke-on-Trent.

Their Royal Highnesses will visit the Watercolour World project at the Potteries Museum in Hanley, of which they are both patrons, which will create a digital collection of pre-1900 watercolours from around the world.

The Prince of Wales will visit Bethesda Chapel to hear about efforts to restore the chapel, which dates back to 1797. 

As patron of The National Literacy Trust, The Duchess of Cornwall, will visit Stoke City's bet365 Stadium to meet over two hundred local school children taking part in reading activities with the help of authors ,as part of the National Literacy Trust Hub in Stoke-on-Trent.

HRH Prince Charles visited the former Burslem School of Art, which is now part of the Haywood Sixth Form Academy, on a visit in January 2016

Prince Charles will spend time at his Prince's Trust charity's Stoke Centre to meet beneficiaries and supporters of the charity.

He will also return to Middleport Pottery, which he has visited several times before, to see the newly opened Clay College, open the original workers’ Bath House and see the recently restored steam engine which used to power the factory.
