Stoke-on-Trent tutor writes advice book for teachers on how to cope with stress

City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College tutor Chris Eyre says seeing the stress some teachers in the profession are under promoted him to write a book on how to cope with the demands of the job.

Chris, who is Curriculum Manager for Religious Studies, Philosophy and History, wrote "The Elephant In The Staffroom" after seen many teachers struggling under the weight of expectations and workload.

Nationally, there is a rising number of staff who are leaving the profession before retirement after struggling to the point of exhaustion.

The book looks at the psychological struggles of teaching, from inspections to working patterns and school holidays.
