A recruitment drive for 25 magistrates is underway in Staffordshire.
Applicants are particularly wanted from members of black and minority ethnic communities.
People in paid employment, under the age of 50 and people with a disability who are able, either unassisted or with the benefit of resonable adjustments, to carry out a full range of a magistrate's duty are also wanted.
In the last two years 20 magistrates have been taken on while prior to that there was a three year recruitment freeze.
The latest vacancies are based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, so applicants need to travel to that location.
Anyone aged between 18 and 65 can apply.
The closing date is 31st March.
