Puddle Ducks sign up to Barons Quay

Another business is set open on the Barons Quay site in Northwich.

Puddle Ducks have exchanged an unconditional contract with Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Founded by two mums with a shared love for swimming with their babies, Puddle Ducks opened their first class in 2002 in mid-Cheshire and began to expand in 2007. The company now teaches over 21,000 children to swim every week across the UK.

Specialising in providing swimming lessons for babies from birth, and children up to the age of ten, they provide high quality teaching alongside critical water-safety skills, all whilst making sure that the classes are fun and engaging.

Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Growth, Councillor Richard Beacham said: “Puddle Ducks is an extremely welcome addition to Barons Quay.

“The council’s ambition has always been to create a modern leisure and retail hub in the heart of Northwich, complementing existing businesses and attracting new visitors to the town.

"The introduction of Puddle Ducks means families can come to Northwich for little ones to learn to swim, whilst also enjoying other things on offer like shopping, watching films, dining out, listening to great music and experiencing a range of museums and attractions both in the town, or nearby. There really is something for everyone in Northwich.”

Jo Stone, Managing Director at Puddle Ducks said: “We are so thrilled to be able to bring our swimming classes and our flagship pool to such a wonderful venue. There is now such a buzz around Barons Quay, as more companies set up in the centre.

“We are very proud to be part of Northwich and are looking forward to the future.”

Over the last two weeks, exchanges have also been made with Barrhead Travel, Geek Retreat and Radio Northwich.
