Potters beaten by Buxton

Stoke Potters were beaten 48-41 by Buxton in the first leg of their National League Challenge.

Robert Branford, Luke Priest and Lee Smart all chipped in with nine points.

Branford was drafted in for Ben Reade who was rested after suffering a knee injury riding for Plymouth on Saturday night.

Potters team manager Malcolm Vasey said: "We have to hit the ground running in meetings we can not keep giving teams a head start as we have done in our opening meetings.

"We have to start well and take meetings by the scruff of the neck and hopefully we'll do that in the second leg on Saturday."
