Post mortem following Stoke-on-Trent man's death proves inconclusive

Police investigating the death of a man in Stoke-on-Trent have named him.

Emergency services were called to the home of 47-year-old Gordon Ash in Wellesley Street in Shelton at 3:46am on Sunday (19 November).

Ambulance crews pronounced him dead upon arrival. 

A post-mortem took place yesterday (21 November), but the results regarding cause of death were inconclusive.

A full toxicology report is now underway.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "If you have any information about this incident please contact us on 101 quoting incident number 119 of 19 November or, for guaranteed anonymity, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
