Pool reopens after child cut foot on suspected broken glass

The paddling pool Congleton has reopened, after a child cut their foot on whats believed to have been broken glass.

Congleton Town Council says it temporarily closed the pool in Park Road yesterday following the incident.

The pool has been drained before being cleaned.

It was refilled and chemicals added.

The local authority says it does have a 300 person limit and with the schools in Congleton now closed for summer it is expected it will reach the limit.

It comes a month after the pool was shut due to a 'faecal incident', where it was also drained, cleaned and refilled.
