An investigation is underway after the death of a fox during a hunt in Cheshire.
Police say they were notified about the incident at around 3pm at Hack Green, near Nantwich.
Wildlife officers attended the scene and are trying to establish the circumstances.
The incident comes days after more than 300 protesters staged a demonstration outside Cheshire police's headquarters urging the force to take stronger action against illegal fox hunting.
Police say they are fully committed to thoroughly investigating the latest incident and will bring to justice anybody found to have broken the law.
