Police confirm man who died in park was missing 31-year-old

Police searching for a missing Stoke-on-Trent man have confirmed he has died.

Emergency services were called to Central Forest Park in Hanley just after 7am this morning (14 July), after a man was found collapsed near the Union Street entrance.

He sadly died at the scene a short time later.

Police have now confirmed that the man was 31-year-old Joe Walker, who had been reported missing after last being seen at his home address at 4:30pm yesterday (13 July).

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers during this difficult time."
