Pedestrian dies following Crewe collision

A man has died after being hit by a car in Crewe.

Police were called to Mill Street, under the railway bridge, to reports a red Hyundai had collided with a pedestrian at 10.50pm on Saturday (26 October).

The pedestrian, a 29-year-old local man, sustained serious injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and they are being supported by specialist officers.

As part of their investigation into the incident, officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any other information or dashcam footage which may help them.

Sergeant Nick Rogers of Cheshire Constabulary’s Serious and Complex Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Sadly a young man died as a result of this collision and we are committed to doing all we can to establish exactly what happened.

“As part of our investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone who witnesses the incident or anyone with any dashcam footage of the collision.
