New burger restaurant to take on former GBK unit in Potteries Centre

A new restaurant has been announced for former Gourmet Burger Kitchen unit at The Hive at the intu Potteries in Hanley.

It has stood empty since GBK closed suddenly in November 2018.

The Burger Priest is set to replace it later this month, at the 2,000 sq.ft space located between PizzaExpress and Chiquito, opposite Coast to Coast.

The restaurant will also generate up to 20 new jobs.

Rachael Jackson, general manager at intu Potteries said: “we are thrilled to welcome The Burger Priest to the centre.

"Their food will be a great addition, bringing a new dimension to the overall dining experience at The Hive.

A spokesperson for The Burger Priest said, “it’s a unique offer for the people of Stoke-on-Trent. The provenance of our meat is fully traceable and everything on the menu is great quality.

"We think intu Potteries is the perfect venue and we’re looking forward to opening as soon as possible!”

A Burger Priest restaurant is also set to open in the Riverside shopping centre in Stafford in the next few weeks.
