Man killed in A500 crash named

Police have named the man who died in a collision involving two lorries on the A500 in Stoke-on-Trent.

30-year-old Roman Parsons from Blurton died when the truck he was driving was involved in collision with another HGV on the northbound carriageway of the dual carriageway, near Wolstanton, at around 5am on Friday morning (24 November).

The stretch was closed for around 12 hours following the crash.

Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with Roman's family at this difficult time. The family are receiving the appropriate care and support from specially trained officers and have asked for their privacy to be respected whilst they come to terms with their loss. 

"If you witnessed the collision or have any information that could help with our investigation, please call us on 101 quoting incident 59 of 24 November."
