A man has been arrested following an incident on the M6 in Staffordshire.
Police were initially called to a collision on the southbound carriageway between junctions 13 and 12, around 8am this morning (5 June).
There was an additional report of an assault taking place on the carriageway.
A 25-year-old man from Birmingham has been arrested on suspicion of common assault, and drink driving.
He remains in custody.
The motorway was closed for around 40 minutes while officers dealt with the incident.
