The M6 has been brought to a standstill in Staffordshire, following a collision involving several vehicles.
It includes a van which has overturned, on the northbound carriageway between junction 14 for Stafford North and junction 15 for Stoke-on-Trent.
Paramedics remain at the scene of the incident.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 2:53pm to reports of a collision between a car, van and lorry between junctions 14 and 15 of the M6.
"We have an ambulance, paramedic officer and Basics doctor at the scene.”
There are currently delays of around 60 minutes, with queues back to junction 12 for Cannock.
Traffic on the southbound side is also slow due to onlookers.
The closure is having an effect on routes around Stafford, as well as Littleworth, Weeping Cross, Moss Pit and Acton Gate.
