Fresh appeal for information following Stoke-on-Trent sex attacks

Police say investigations are continuing following reports of sexual assaults in Shelton last Autumn.

Police were called to Ashford, Seaford and the college areas of Shelton several times between September and October last year after reports that a man had touched numerous women inappropriately.

The man is described as being Asian, around 13-17-years-old, approximately 5ft 2 ins and of a slim build with a large distinctive nose.

He was wearing a white prayer cap and a traditional dark garment.

A suspect has been arrested and has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

Officers would like to urge anyone who may have experienced similar assaults as those described to contact police.

Detective Inspector Zoe Kelsall said: "We want to reassure the community that we take all reports of sexual assault very serious and encourage victims to come forward and contact us even if they think the assault is minor.

"This investigation is still very much ongoing and we ask anyone who may have further information, seen anyone matching the description or especially been victim to these assaults to get in touch."

Anyone with any information should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 631 of September 16, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
