Four patients diagnosed with coronavirus died in two days at Royal Stoke

Four people who tested positive for coronavirus have died at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

A 67-year-old man, who had underlying health conditions, died on Thursday (26 March).

The hospital have also confirmed an 85-year-old man, an 88-year-old female and a 77-year-old female, all of whom had underlying health conditions, passed away on Friday (27 March)

John Oxtoby, Medical Director at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, said: "All families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time."
