Four men arrested after £500k of copper cables stolen from Rugeley Power Station

Police investigating the theft of £500,000 worth of copper cable from Rugeley Power Station have made four arrests.

Police were called to the site just after 12am this morning (27 November). 

Four men were located and arrested after police patrols and security carried out a large area search. The stolen cable was also retrieved after it was found discarded.

The men, aged 18, 20, 30 and 34 and all from the London area were arrested on suspicion of theft. 

They remain in police custody and enquiries are on-going.
