Five teens arrested after reports of males with sword and taser in Burslem home

Police have arrested five males in connection with an incident in Burslem.

Officers, along with Police Dog Kevin were called to a report of men armed with a sword and taser in a house on Sandbach Road just after midnight (31 May). 

No one was injured.

Two men aged 18, and three 16-year-old males, were arrested on suspicion of burglary after being located in nearby streets by PD Kevin.

Detective Sergeant Philip Pegg, from force CID, said: “The quick tactics of our team led to the arrest of five suspects who are currently in our custody. 

“An investigation is now underway and we would ask anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident number 5 of 31 May. 

“Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
