Five arrested following drugs raids

Five men have been arrested as part of an on-going investigation into the supply of drugs in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers from the Stoke South Neighbourhood Policing Team visited addresses in Havelock Place, Sun Street and Grove Place at around 8am on Thursday (29 November).

The men, aged between 21 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled substance (Class A).

They have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Chief Inspector Karen Stevenson, commander for the Stoke South Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “These arrests form part of an on-going operation aimed at eradicating the supply of Class A drugs and related criminality in the area.

“We will continue to work with the local community and partners to tackle these issues and will never hesitate to act where necessary.
