A teenager who grappled with officers as they tried to arrest him in Stafford has been jailed for two years.
The town's Crown Court heard Cameron Grice-Allen, of no fixed address, was seen under a bridge near Chell Road on 3 May, and was challenged by officers as he appeared to be rolling a joint.
Grice-Allen became violent and officers struggled to restrain him, as he elbowed and kicked out at them.
Once the 18-year-old was handcuffed, scales, class A drugs and £215 cash was seized.
He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine and assaulting an emergency worker in an earlier hearing, and was sentenced on 2 August.
Sergeant Tom Fotherby of Staffordshire Police said: “We’re sending out a clear message we will not tolerate drug-dealing in Stafford and that we will work to bring those dealing drugs and causing misery to court."
