Detectives investigating the large-scale public disorder at Vale Park on Tuesday night have issued shocking footage of offenders vandalising the toilets.
During the fixture there was considerable damage caused to sections of the away stand as seats, toilets and windows were all broken. Disruptive behaviour from a large section of away fans at the game led to officers deploying public order tactics to restore order.
Detective Chief Inspector Rob Taylor from Staffordshire Police, said; “We have a duty to the local community and the loyal supporters of both clubs to act swiftly. We will ensure that all opportunities will be taken to identify those suspected of being involved in this despicable disorder and bring them to justice.”
If you know any of the men in the footage, please call Staffordshire Police urgently on 101.
Since the operation deployed in the early afternoon, there have been 11 arrests in total. Those arrested are aged between 18 and 61, all from the north of Staffordshire and were arrested for a mixture of public order and violence offences.
The Checkatrade Trophy tie between Stoke City under-21s and Port Vale saw over 150 officers deployed with a mixture of public order, tactical, dog support and response officers.
