CCTV of suspect released by detectives investigating firearms incident

Detectives investigating a firearms incident in Stoke-on-Trent have released CCTV images of a suspect.

A number of arrests were made following the incident, which took place at around 8pm on Monday 5 November, and involved a firearm being fired at a house on Mollison Road.

Detective Inspector Adrian Webb, from CID North, said; “Staffordshire Police has taken this incident extremely seriously. We have made several arrests and executed three search warrants using specialist teams to examine homes and open areas.

“We would now like to make a plea to potential witnesses. Do you know the person on the CCTV or recognise their clothes? Have you seen the scooter they arrived on or do you recognise the helmet they wore? The CCTV shows a suspect arriving on a motor scooter. The suspect was also carrying a holdall bag with a clear logo ‘PROSTAR’ on the side. Have you seen this bag before?

“I am appealing to anyone who may have knowledge of the incident or who knows the suspect. We know the scooter travelled along Grangewood Road, Ryder Road and Crestfield Road following the incident. Did you see it or have dash cam footage of the vehicle?

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 831 of 5 November. Alternatively, you can contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
