Cash stolen after ATM attacked in Crewe

A large quality of money has been taken during an attack on a cash machine outside a post office in Crewe.

Police say offenders targeted the ATM on North Street around 4.15am this morning (15 March).

A blue or black car then drove away in the direction of Leighton Hospital. 

Detective Inspector Claire Jesson, of Crewe Local Policing Unit, said: “Our investigation is currently in the early stages and officers remain at the scene while we continue to establish the circumstances.

“As part of my investigation I am looking to trace a blue or black estate vehicle which was seen driving in the direction of Leighton Hospital and may have been abandoned close by. If anyone has any dashcam footage or information which could help please come forward.”
