Car rescued from flood water

Fire crews have rescued a car that got stuck in flood water in Crewe.

They were called to Maw Green Road at around 7pm last night.

On arrival the crews found a saloon car stuck in a deep puddle.

The driver was inside the vehicle.

Firefighters used specialist equipment to pull the car out of the water.

The driver was then assessed by paramedics. They are not believed to have been injured.

The police closed the road in both direction whilst emergency services worked at the scene.

Firefighters were in attendance for around 40 minutes.
