Port Vale have signed winger David Amoo.
The 28-year-old has penned a one year deal having being released by Cambridge United.
He arrives at Vale Park with a wealth of experience throughout the leagues having started his career at Liverpool. He has since gone on to play for the likes of Hull City, Preston North End, Carlisle United and Partick Thistle.
He is looking forward to a new era at Vale Park: "I'm very happy to be here and looking forward to getting going. It's a great stadium and I've played here a few times and it always has a good atmosphere. I'm looking forward to being amongst it."
John Askey will have fond memories of Amoo, with the winger scoring the winner against the Vale for Cambridge United in his first game as manager for the club, so it's safe to say he's happy to see him in a Vale shirt now.
"We've looked at David for quite a while, he played well against us when we played Cambridge back in February. I've watched him a few times and obviously he's got that pace we've been looking for and he can play on either wing. I think Vale Park will suit him.
"The Cambridge front three caused us problems down there with David being the main threat with his pace. It wasn't just that game, I watched him against Tranmere and Macclesfield and he did really well.
"We've watched a lot of footage of him and I'm looking forward to working with him."
