Port Vale and Scunthorpe United have been charged by the FA, following a confrontation between players at the end of Saturday's match.
Following the full-time whistle, both David Worrall and Scunthorpe's Matthew Lund were sent off for an off the ball altercation.
Worrall will serve a four match ban, after the club failed in their bid to have his red card rescinded.
The FA have confirmed the two sides have been charged for being in breach of Rule E20.
It is alleged that both clubs failed to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion following the end of the fixture.
The clubs have until 6pm on Friday (29 November) to respond.
