Vale boss reveals another signing on the way

Port Vale boss Michael Brown says the club are set to unveil another new signing on Monday.

Speaking after the pre-season friendly at Buxton on Saturday, Brown said: "We will have another signing on Monday which is good and we will keep looking for a few more."

The Valiants gave a debut to another new boy Lawrie Wilson in the 1-1 draw yesterday.

The 29 year-old full back has signed a two year contract after being released by Bolton.

Yesterday's friendly also saw the return from injury of another defender Adam Yates.

He has been sidelined for a year with a knee injury.

The Valiants are back in pre-season action on Tuesday night when they entertain Championship outfit Derby County.
