Stoke boss on first defeat

Stoke City suffered their first defeat under new boss Michael O'Neill.

They were beaten 1-0 at Cardiff last night.

The Potters made three changes from the weekend, with Cameron Carter-Vickers, Sam Clucas and Badou Ndiaye coming into the starting line-up in place of Tom Edwards and Nick Powell who were on the bench while James McClean was suspended.

The only goal of the game came after 11 minutes from Leandro Bacuna.

The result leaves Stoke in 23rd place in the Championship table.

They are back in action again on Saturday when they entertain Blackburn Rovers.
