Stoke boss on busy summer ahead

Stoke City's manager says he has already identified players he wants to bring in and is hoping for some movement shortly.

The Potters completed their Championship campaign with a 2-2 draw against promoted Sheffield United.

Sam Vokes fired the home side in front on 18 minutes with his third goal for the club.

The Blades equalised within three minutes of the restart through substitute Kieran Dowell.

Ryan Shawcross volleyed home a Tom Ince to restore Stoke's lead on 69 minutes, but Enda Stevens levelled the game up on 77 minutes.

Supporters then gave Charlie Adam a standing ovation as he came off the bench for the last couple of minutes.

The affable midfielder is leaving the club after seven years.

In the end, a point was not good enough to give Chris Wilder's side the title.

They had to win at Stoke and hope leaders Norwich lost at Aston Villa, but the Canaries won 2-1 and finished five points above the Blades.

Stoke finished the campaign in 16th place with 55 points.
