Lil Rockerfeller makes chasing bow at Uttoxeter

Hurdler Lil Rockerfeller will make his debut over the big fences at Uttoxeter racecourse on Sunday.

The seven-year-old is a dual Grade Two winner over hurdles and also finished a gallant second to the late Nichols Canyon in the 2017 Stayers' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Lil Rockerfeller demonstrated his versatility when running out a 15-length winner of a recent handicap at Goodwood on the Flat in August.

But today he is one of eight runners going to post in the Gordon Horner 85th Birthday Beginners' Chase at the weekend.

Wayne Hutchinson will be on board the Neil King trained horse for the race which is due off at 4.05pm.

It comes on the day Signal Radio is sponsoring four of the days races, including the opener Foxy and Emma at Breakfast on Signal 1 handicap hurdle.

Trainer Dan Skelton whose stable has been in red hot form at Uttoxeter recently has seven runners with jockey Harry Skelton on board five of them.
