Crewe Alex suffered a third successive league defeat going down 4-1 at home to Lincoln City.
Michael Raynes had given the Alex the perfect start with a goal after eight minutes.
But, despite dominating the opening period they failed to push home their advantage and they were made to pay for it in the second half.
Harry Anderson equalised for the Imps five minutes after the restart.
He then added a second midway through the half, and the game slipped away from Crewe's grasp twenty minutes from time, when Raynes put through his own goal to extend the visitors advantage.
Elliott Whitehouse sealed victory with a fourth in the 90th minute.
The result leaves the Railwaymen in 20th place in the table, just three points above the relegation zone.
The Alex are back in action on Saturday when they face the team below them in the table Forest Green Rovers.
