Our Radio GB division operates four national radio stations; including talkSPORT the world's biggest sports radio station, and Virgin Radio, It also operates 12 independent local radio (ILR) stations in England and Wales Including signal 1&2, and a number of digital radio multiplexes throughout GB..

Role Purpose

The Digital Content Executive & Videographer will be responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing the social media strategy of Signal 1 and Signal 2 radio stations. You will also be responsible for creating social content (mainly video) and then editing it ready for population across the Signal FM social channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the team with the formation of the radio’s social media strategy and keep the accounts up-to date with fresh, relevant, fun, engaging and shareable content.

Communicate with our audience and drive engagement.

Work with our presenters to educate on the types of content to post whilst on air.

Grow our social following, building a strong network to which we will be able utilise as a commercial selling point to potential advertisers going forward.

Implement the latest social media technologies, where applicable, and remain informed of the latest best practices and tools available.

Provide regular insights and reports.

Producing and editing content for social media.

Key Skills and Knowledge

Experience working within a digital marketing role essential

Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.

Excellent knowledge of the different social channels and how to plan and implement effective engaging campaigns.

Excellent videography skills and able to edit quickly with high quality output.

Good eye for design so produce ongoing social content.

Confident writing copy for web, social media and maintaining (where applicable) a blog.

Strong brand and digital experience.

Experience in building a brand through social media activity.

Knowledge of how to link social media objectives and outcomes to the business strategy.

Creative flair, being able to think up innovative campaign and content ideas.

Highly organised and ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads.

‘Can do’ and proactive attitude and proactively look for ideas to incorporate into our channels.

Experience of creating video content for social media and web.

Track record of growing a brands presence across all digital platforms.

Proactively adopt and use new technology platforms and understand how they can assist in achieving business goals.

Due to the nature of the role, out of hours and weekend working may be requested to cover breaking news, events and marketing requirements.
