Dare You Renew 2012 RULES
The following rules ("Rules”) together with UTV Media ("UTV Media") general and competition terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at www.signal1.co.uk or www.signal2.co.uk apply to ‘Dare You Renew?’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from 27/1/12 to 17/2/12("the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is Signal 1.
Anyone who enters the Competition (an "Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
1)Details of the Competition
1.1To enter the Competition an Entrant must:
go online to www.signal1.co.uk to register. Online Entry opens at 8am 27/1/12 and Closes at 10am 10/2/12
1.2The entrants must fill out the online entry form and complete all required fields. Chosen participants will renew their wedding vows on Oblivion ("the ride”) at Alton Towers on 12/2/12 in attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for "Most Vow Renewals on a Theme Park ride”.
1.3Participants will be chosen based on their entry form. A panel of judges from the radio station will discuss all applications and select participants to join the Signal Team as they attempt the record. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into.
1.4Participants will be notified by a representative from Signal Radio and must make themselves available from 0815 on 12/2/12 at Alton Towers Resort. No transport is provided and participants must make their own arrangements.
1.5. All participants will be admitted into the park by a member of the Alton Towers OR Signal Radio team. Spectators are permitted entry at the discretion of Signal radio and Alton Towers resort and all children must be supervised at all times by an adult. Any spectators, must leave the park following the attempt and must purchase a ticket from the ticket office if they wish to spend the day in the park.
1.6 Signal Radio and Alton Towers resort reserve the right to cancel the attempt at short notice due to weather conditions and anything else which affects the efficiency of the ride.
2)Restrictions
2.1All Participants must be legally married and hold a valid marriage/civil partnership certificate in order to meet specific Guinness World Records guidelines for the record attempt. They must have this with them on the day to take part. Full specific guidelines for the attempt are held by the radio station.
2.2In order to comply with the health and safety regulations of the ride all participants must be at least 1.4m tall and follow the specific ride rules as displayed by Alton Towers. Failure to comply with these guidelines could result in the participant being refused to take part in the world record attempt.
2.3Participants must adhere to the terms and conditions of Alton Towers resort. Full details can be found here http://www.altontowers.com/tandcs/. We reserve the right to refuse any participant who does not comply with these terms and conditions.
2.4All participants must be over 18 years of age.
2.5It is the participants responsibility to read all the terms and conditions of this promotion to ensure they are eligible to take part.
2.6Any disability or health concern must be brought to the attention of Signal Radio before the participant takes part.
2)Prize
2.1.1
Each participant will receive a day pass for the Alton Towers theme park. UTV Media reserves the right to substitute a prize, if the prize is vouchers or tickets.
