I'm in my 8th year on the Signal 1 Home Run since coming back to the station. Yes, back! I did a year then disappeared off for 2yrs then came back...some say I was abducted by aliens, others say I worked as a spy (I do own binoculars and scuba diving gear for sneaking up on the enemies' boats).
It all started when I wrote a letter to my local station in Blackpool when I should have been doing GCSE revision. I asked for some work experience and managed to get some over the summer (1996 - OMC How Bizarre was THE tune in my brain all summer). Guess who was also there getting his career started???

Since then I've worked my way up...it took a few years before I got any paid work but it's had me working around the country from London to the Lakes and now in beautiful Staffordshire where the people and oatcakes are the best! I've also dabbled in TV (Wildlife stuff for the BBC) as that is my other passion. I auditioned for the Really Wild Show with Nick Baker in 2001 and nearly dropped a tarantula on camera (it would have splattered everywhere I'm told).
