Kilogram Loss

Here's some good news for all you weight watchers... you've lost weight without doing anything!!

Currently, the kilogram weight is based on a piece of metal (weighing one kilogram) which is locked in a vault at the International Bureau of Weights and Measures in France.

This goes back more than 125 years when a solid cylinder of platinum-iridium alloy was agreed by everyone to weigh precisely one kilo.

However, the standard kilo is literally losing weight for some unexplained reason, probably related to the loss of gas locked inside it when the cylinder was made.

So there you go, well done on your weight loss ;-)
