Woman in stable condition after collision

A 79-year-old woman remains in a stable condition in hospital after a collision in Stoke-on-Trent on Friday.

Emergency services were called out to Chell Heath Road just after 7pm to reports of a black Nissan Qashqai in collision with a pedestrian.

The woman was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to the Royal Stoke University hospital, where her condition is described as stable.

The road was closed for approximately four hours whilst detailed investigation work was carried out.

Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 785 of 10 March.
