Teenagers arrested after Longton blaze

Police and fire crews remain at the scene

Eight teenagers have been arrested after a major fire in Longton.

More than 30 firefighters tackled the blaze at a building belonging to Time Square Ltd on Caroline Street at around 4pm yesterday.

A number of roads were closed as a safety precaution, while the Stoke to Derby railway line was also closed for a short time.

Scene of crime officers and fire investigators are currently at the scene.

Four teenagers aged 14, and three aged 15, have been bailed, pending further inquiries, to a date in August. 

A 14 year old currently remains in custody.
